Stephanie Norton

Stephanie is an attorney and family mediator serving the Fairfield County communities.

Having been raised in Westport, Connecticut, Stephanie returned to Fairfield County in 2005 after living and working in New York City. Prior to her return, Stephanie served as assistant in-house counsel for Tishman Speyer, a major New York City developer and property management company, where she handled sales, marketing, insurance, and corporate leasing. At the same time, Stephanie worked with Safe Horizons where she facilitated mediations in New York City’s Small Claims Court as well as landlord tenant disputes.

In Connecticut, Stephanie has focused her legal work on helping families in the probate courts, serving as a court appointed probate attorney for the appointment of conservatorships and guardians for intellectually disabled children, acting as a conservator, and assisting clients in all aspects of probate law. Stephanie is also a trained Guardian ad Litem, certified in the State of Connecticut, representing minors and working in the court system to protect the best interest of children.

Stephanie was trained at the Pepperdine University School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, regarded as the top conflict resolution program in the country. In addition, Stephanie has continued her mediation training through the years, most recently trained in divorce dispute resolution from the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND). Stephanie now dedicates her legal and mediation practice exclusively to helping people find non-adversarial resolutions to conflict.

Throughout the mediation process, Stephanie uses her legal and personal skills to educate and guide her clients. She is simultaneously professional and empathetic – traits which empower her clients to see through emotional distractions and gain clarity on what goals are in their best interest and in the best interest of their families. Stephanie takes great pride in her tenacity, efficiency, and ability to achieve results which, in turn, allows her clients to have faith in the mediation process.
